Some people would say that there are things which are better left unsaid. Zipping your lips for a secret, changing a topic to reverse the conversation, and finally being an angel of calm and silence. Others would say, silence is cowardice; an escape. However, silence is more of an option; an ultimate peace. In silence you'll find your heart's words and your mind's wisdom. Through silence, you'll definitely curve the strength that you need. Silence is like a shining hope that for a few moments will strike you to be a person of worth. In silence, you'll cry. You'll shed the tears that you truly can't bear. And also in silence, you'll find an intelligent you who gradually stand up to utter the best words for the person, at the right timing in order to calmly say the things that you need to say, without hurting him or her. In silence, you'll discover a soulful fighter, who will leave a remarkable patience and character. Because that soulful fighter holds the best weapon - hope and love. And finally in silence, you can feel God's embrace and you'll hear him saying that you need to go on despite the difficulties. And that embrace is the ultimate peace that will guide you as you sail through. Silence may have different reasons and definitions. Just like the sky that has different moods, it shall give you the best weapon - hope and love. Dear God,
I write this letter not to ask anything from You but to say, “Thank You for everything”. From the moment I open my eyes and see the skies; from the breath that signifies my life; from the cold breeze that embraces me — Your love is truly amazing. You gave me a wonderful mom. Her voice in the morning continuously inspires me to do things that I fear the most. Her unconditional love proves to be one and the same as Yours. A million thanks to You wouldn't be enough. You gave me true friends that I can count on. Their shoulders prove to be a mantle of kindness for the tears that I’ve shed. Their laughter reminds me that precious things are we called “happy memories”. A million thanks to You wouldn’t be enough. I may not have any siblings, but You gave me a person whom I consider as my younger sister. She incessantly cheers me up whenever I’m down. She surprises me with her stories of life and beyond. A million thanks to You wouldn’t be enough. As I continue to walk on, You gave me battles that I should conquer. You whispered to me that life wouldn’t be easy; that rough times might weaken my heart; that there are friends that might gave me confusion; that life is not perfect without problems. You are a true teacher. A million thanks to You wouldn’t be enough. The life you’ve given me is a treasure. The love that beats in my heart opens my eyes to see the kindness in every soul. The wisdom that you imparted to me relentlessly explores the world as extraordinary. A million thanks to You wouldn’t be enough. In the majestic nature that You've created, living will forever be priceless. In Your tasteful colors of the horizon, seeing will forever be immeasurable. In the starry painting of the night sky, gazing will forever be splendid. A million thanks to You wouldn’t be enough. Being Your child is a difficult task, but to You alone I will surrender my heart and my soul. Therefore, I couldn’t ask for more. A million thanks to You wouldn’t be enough. Your daughter, Angelie How can love be so great? and why do we love?
“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13 Love is more of an action; an endless emotion of happiness and freedom. Love consists of hidden pieces of definition — from bible verses to own experiences. |
