The beautiful canvas called life is full of colors. Each shade reminds us to be what we want to be. Every color combination defines our inner soul. The vibrant colors give life its loudness without changing its core. The hues offer a glimpse of balance without playing the dullness. Every stroke and each line respects the profound creativity of an artist. And in this beautiful canvas of life, we are the artists. We mix and match the colors. We deliver the depth of each stroke. And, we make our own canvas a masterpiece.

Love for reading is the main thing.
Filipinos are known to be book lovers. Their passion for reading made them good speakers and writers. Book lovers from all over the country gathered and experienced the 2016 Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) last September 14-18 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia, Pasay City. Different publishers and book sellers participated in the MIBF with this year's theme, "Read More". The main idea of the book fair is not only to promote the publishers but also to empower and nourish the reading communication. Activities like storytelling and book launching gave highlights to the event. The most saught-after part of the MIBF was the total sale of books covering from 20% off to 50% mark down of price. For sure, book lovers were very happy as they select books, walk the long aisles and collect freebies from the event. See you at the next Manila International Book Fair! :) #2016MIBF #ManilaInternationalBookFair #booklovers #reading As the lyrics of a classic hit says, "If a picture paints a thousand words."
True to its meaning, a picture can paint a thousand words. It can capture the stillness of joy, the drama of black & white, and the throwback of a sepia. A photograph can stimulate an idea. It provides a lot of expression, giving a crisp to a memory. Back when I was young, I barely recall my aunt would borrow an 110 Konika to her friend, just to capture the best moments of our family, from graduation ceremonies to birthday parties. Back then, I was fascinated on how a certain camera works, why films came from its negative base transforming to a photo. And I said to myself, when I grow up, I'll buy a good camera and capture our family's great memories. Seven years ago, I bought a DSLR, and it's payback time. I started photography year 2009, and it made me see the wonders of smiles and laughters. It gave me a sense of freedom to see what is beyond an ordinary angle. It enhanced my eyes to discover the heart of people by looking through their eyes. Photography never failed me to continue reaching different destinations, capturing extraordinary memories that leave endless meaning of life. #WordPhotographyDay #Photography |
